UNPAR-SEED 2018: The Fascinating Expedition

Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) will be hosting the 3rd Social Enterprise for Economic Development Program with the special edition themed “Fascinating Expedition” (SEED FE). For this particular edition, SEED FE will take place in West Sumba, Indonesia starting on the 12th until 21st July 2018. UNPAR is delighted to welcome students and faculty lecturers as delegates and observers from ALN member institutions in joining and attaining valuable experiences through a series of activities and interaction within the authentic Indonesian village.

A brief glance about the program - Social Enterprise for Economic Development (SEED) of the ASEAN Learning Network is particularly a remarkable students centered and socially responsible learning program, that require students to work together in international and multicultural teams as well as to learn experientially in the real-life context of a Southeast Asian village. Especially for this 3rd edition, Parahyangan Catholic University has designed a specific one-of-a-kind program which allows students to experience living in authentic Indonesian village, to have cross cultural experience and to sharpen students’ environmental awareness, all based in West Sumba. Aside of that, this program also aims to align all tourists’ data-gathering through baseline research that acts as the preparation process in reaching an organized tourism village as the final goal. This is an excellent opportunity for participants to improve not only their hard skills concordantly with their background study, but also soft skills based on their real experience.
